Food is great and environment is cozy and comfortable. Been a few times, food has flavour and well presented. Well priced.

Came in for a meal after travelling to a BB for 1 night stay. Service good ,locals friendly. Background music is great, not intrusive, and has no thumping beat. Food ok bit basic one of us had scampi which was really good. And one had ham and chips ham was tasty . Unfortunately, there are no condiments on the table or offered . No staff around to ask either .

Stayed here for one night as a stop over. Room we had was very huge with a similar huge shower room. Was really clean and quiet and a really good night's sleep. Breakfast was really good. Full English and cereal etc. Chose this for its location and that they were dog friendly. Would highly recommend this place and if needed would definitely book again.

Great barmaid who made us feel welcome. Nice selection of real ales and ciders. Good food for the evening. We stayed here… rooms massive, good parking and decent breakfast. Dog friendly.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a family room and it was a fabulous experience, The rooms are very well equipped, great value and the included breakfast is amazing. The town is incredible, like stepping back in time in a very good way. Staff was great, parking is great, an all round great experience.

The rooms are large and the walk in shower was a delight. Dinner in the pub was great with a good atmosphere. Would recommend.

A good place to stay particularly for dog owners as the accommodation is outside the pub with your own door opening immediately outside. There is a good dog walking track just next to the pub. The rooms are spacious and clean. We would definitely stay again but would choose somewhere else to eat. The food for vegetarians is not great.
